Event Description

MDEV: The Kick-Off Event is your chance to celebrate the Midwest games industry in style, whatever your style may be. Enjoy our signature cocktail, take on an IRL Quest, and mingle with developers, creators, and industry leaders from across the region. Hosted in the historic Orpheum Theater, the evening features a special big-screen video presentation, Made in the Midwest: This Year in Video Games, followed by an insightful panel, “2025: A Look at the State of the Midwest Games Industry”.

The dress code for this event is ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ (formal, casual, cosplay — anything goes), and you’ll strut down the MDEV red carpet to get your photo snapped. This event is open to the public and is for anyone who wants to celebrate the video games industry in the Midwest.

Be in the venue within the first 30 minutes of doors opening & get a deal on your first round of drinks!

Bag Policy

Bags (max size 12″ x 6″ x 12″) are allowed and will be searched upon entry. Exceptions will be made for necessary medical equipment and bags for nursing mothers. We encourage you to pack light with only the necessities to make the entry process as smooth as possible.

Cashless Policy

We are a cashless facility meaning that we are unable to accept cash as a form of payment.

• Our Bars and Box Office will only accept credit, debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Please note that artist merchandise sales are separate and may still accept cash.
